History
The unit was validated in March 2001 for its first delivery in 2001-02. It has undergone continual development since then (refer to the Evaluation section for published unit reports required by the Faculty). The unit has also been revalidated periodically as part of the normal institutional course review process.
Examples of recent developments are the introduction of a practical data mining theme in 2007 and a practical XML and databases topic in 2009. The unit first became available as an option on the BIT Programme in 2008-09.
