Textbooks
The fundamental textbook is Connolly and Begg's Database Systems textbook. This comprehensive and comprehensible. Of course, there are several other textbooks of high quality we could have used.
For the information systems part of the course we also recomend two books by Chapman and Chapman - "Digital Multimedia" and "Web Design", both of are exemplary in clarity and balance between breadth and depth of content.
