• The standard way of synchronizing clocks is with the Network Time Protocol.

  • the two systems exchange timestamps
  • assumptions of symmetry in paths
  • Controlled adjustment of clocks
  • (TA,1 + TA,2)/2 = (TB,1 + TB,2)/2
