Dr Luana Micallef’s PhD thesis has been commended as a runner-up in the 2016 BCS/CHPC Distinguished Dissertation award. Over 100 students have once again embarked on industry placements with the support of the team in the School of Computing. A survey at Kent has revealed that 5% of British adults have browsed the darknet, with 1% acknowledging they have bought items from it.
