Employability Points success for Computing students
21 July 2016
Students from the School of Computing have been active in the University’s Employability Points (EP) scheme, winning rewards for their participation.
The EP scheme rewards students for their involvement in extra-curricular activities whilst studying at the University of Kent. Students can claim 'Employability Points' for each activity completed and towards the end of each academic year, students can redeem their points for the chance to apply for rewards.
Computing students have earned rewards including Amazon vouchers and skills development sessions with IBM, Santander, Mobile Caddy and DSTL as well as taking part in a Shepherd Neame Experience Day at the local brewery.
Sergey Ovchinnik, a second year student (pictured above), was awarded a prize for Highest Scoring Student from the Faculty of Sciences. He is one of over 6,500 who registered for the EP scheme in 2015-16 academic year.
