This portfolio is the result of my participation in the HCI Disciplinary Commons project conducted by Sally Fincher (University of Kent) and Janet Finlay (Leeds Metropolitan University) in 2007/8.
The aim of this portfolio is to provide a snapshot of what I currently do in my role as an HCI educator. The portfolio is strongly grounded in my current practice, and includes actual artefacts produced as part of my teaching. Each category below gives commentary on these artefacts, as a means of describing how I go about my HCI teaching responsibilities.

Delivery
I believe that the main contributions to HCI education practice (and in some cases, wider educational practice) of this portfolio include:
- illustrations of ways to engage students in large lecture classes;
- an easy method of obtaining mid-term feedback from students;
- a method for assessing students’ work directly into grades and secondary bands;
- a demonstration of ongoing reflective practice;
I would be delighted to engage in any correspondence regarding the contents of these pages: feel free to email me (hcp@dcs.gla.ac.uk) with comments, suggestions, objections, ideas for collaboration etc.
